About this grant
The Abney Foundation funds innovative and creative projects and programs responsive to changing community needs in education, health, social services, and cultural affairs. The foundation generally does not fund requests for operating expenses. Applicants may submit a Letter of Intent before a full proposal to test fundability. Applications require a summary statement, project purpose, community need analysis, key personnel qualifications, detailed budget and spending plan, annual operating budget, evaluation method, recent grant history, board details with approval minutes, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt letter, and three professional references. The foundation generally makes grants once per year, with proposals due the first Monday in November by 4:00 PM.
