American Savings Foundation Community Grants
American Savings Foundation · Funder
Nonprofits serving Connecticut communities can apply for grants up to $5,000 for education, human services, and arts and culture programs. Organizations must be 501(c)(3) tax-exempt or public libraries, and serve communities in the Foundation's 64-town service area.
About this grant
This program funds direct program expenses for nonprofits serving 64 Connecticut towns, with awards up to $5,000 per application. Grants support education, human services, and arts and culture programs. The Foundation does not fund capital equipment (except by prior call), general operating support, schools, municipalities, religious institutions, research, environmental causes, or event sponsorships. Only one Community Grant per agency per calendar year is awarded, and organizations may reapply for up to three consecutive years before a one-year waiting period. Applications are submitted online through the grants portal and reviewed once annually, with a September 30 deadline for November decisions.
