About this grant
This grant funds the acquisition of robotics equipment and supplies for Alabama public schools serving grades K-12. Eligible robotics kits must require students to design and build a robotic device controlled by a student-written program or operated remotely; acceptable examples include VEX-IQ, LEGO SPIKE, ROV kits, Bee-Bot, Ozobot, and Drones. Applications are submitted online via DocuSign and must include LEA Information, Students and Teachers Impacted data, and a detailed budget with accounting codes. The application requires signatures from the Project Manager, LEA Technology Coordinator, Chief Financial Officer, and Superintendent. Schools may amend their approved budget after award, and all funds must be expended by September 30, 2027. Grant recipients are announced at the beginning of 2027.
