About this grant
The BIG Program funds innovative or well-established projects that develop, test, and spread ideas to make South Dakota communities better. It supports projects that are community-based, address community needs, and demonstrate meaningful investment in South Dakota communities. The program does not fund operating expenses for governmental entities, loans, or construction projects. Applications are submitted through GOapply, the Foundation's online portal. All applicants must be verified public nonprofits by the IRS or work with a fiscal sponsor. Grant recipients must submit a program evaluation at the end of their grant term.
