501(c)(3) nonprofits, government entities, and eligible non-501(c)(3) organizations can apply for grants up to $50,000 to fund innovative community development projects in Rosebud, Custer, and Fallon County, Montana, and the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation.
About this grant
The Community Investment Program funds projects that enhance quality of life and strengthen communities in Rosebud, Custer, and Fallon County, Montana, and the Northern Cheyenne Indian Reservation. Eligible projects must have broad impact, address community issues, use other sources of support, encourage community involvement, use creative problem-solving approaches, and support innovative economic and community development. Grants support a wide range of initiatives including education, public safety, healthcare, community development, and the arts. The program has two application cycles per year. Applicants do not need to be based in the target counties but their projects must benefit communities in those counties. Only one application per organization is allowed per cycle, though organizations may apply in subsequent cycles for different phases of projects.
