Public schools, charter schools, private schools, and home-based educational programs in Wisconsin may apply for up to $6,000 to support student robotics team participation in eligible competitions during the 2026-27 school year. Teams must include grades 6-12 students and a mentor, with funds covering competition fees, kits, supplies, travel, and mentor stipends.
About this grant
This is a reimbursement-based grant for robotics competition participation. Eligible expenses include required fees, kits, and supplies for competitions; travel costs for team members and mentor; and a mentor stipend. Teams must participate in competitions sponsored by nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations where students design, construct, program, and operate robots. Applicants must provide receipts and documentation for all expenses and secure matching funds equal to the amount requested (total eligible expenses must be at least twice the grant request). Awards are prorated if demand exceeds funding. The grant period is July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027.
