Dr. Scholl Foundation Grants

Dr. Scholl Foundation · Funder

The Dr. Scholl Foundation funds nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status working in education, social service, healthcare, civic and cultural, or environmental sectors. Grants support project-based work, primarily in the U.S., and typically require a letter of inquiry followed by a full application.

About this grant

The Dr. Scholl Foundation considers grants in five areas: Education, Social Service, Healthcare, Civic and Cultural, and Environmental, though guidelines are broad and other worthwhile projects may be considered. The majority of grants are made in the U.S., though non-U.S. grants are given to organizations where directors have knowledge of the grantee. The Foundation does not fund organizations without valid IRS 501(c)(3) determination letters, those with fewer than 3 years of financial activity, political organizations, other grantmaking foundations, loans, operating deficit reductions, debt liquidation, general support, grants to individuals, endowments or capital campaigns, event sponsorships, or multiple requests from the same organization in one cycle. Public schools and municipalities are rarely funded. Applications proceed through a two-stage process: first a Letter of Inquiry, then a full application if the LOI is approved.
