UK schools, colleges, home school groups, and youth organisations from disadvantaged backgrounds can apply for funded registrations to deliver FIRST LEGO League programmes (Foundations Edition or Future Edition). Funding covers either team event registration or class pack delivery for groups up to 30 students.
About this grant
This funding supports FIRST LEGO League Foundations Edition (Challenge and Explore tracks) and Future Edition (age ranges 5-7 or 8-16) in the UK. Applicants can choose between Team Event Registration (to attend a competition event) or Class Pack delivery (in-house programme for up to 30 participants). Applications are assessed on Index of Multiple Deprivation ranking, areas of low social mobility, free school meals/pupil premium levels, specialist SEND provision, and demonstrated impact and longevity plans. Successful applicants must complete online registration and media consent, access training materials or attend training sessions, deliver the programme as planned, and submit end-of-programme feedback. Funded kit must be secured within two weeks of approval or the allocation will be reassigned.
