About this grant
The Green Mountain Fund prioritizes projects where modest grants bring in new ideas or other funding, including general operating support or new or continued programs. It supports access to opportunity for low-income youth and families, environmental stewardship, sustainability and climate goals, food security and local food production, health and wellness of children and families, and community engagement. The fund does not support capital campaigns, deficit funding, or expenses already incurred. Eligible applicants are nonprofits, schools, and municipal entities whose service area includes Lamoille or Orleans County or neighboring communities. All applicants must meet Vermont Community Foundation's general guidelines and provide services without discrimination. Applications are submitted electronically through the Online Grants Manager with no set deadline; review typically takes 8–10 weeks, and grant activities must be completed within one year of award.
