In Youth We Trust: Youth Grants
Community Foundation of Northern Illinois · Funder
Youth-led groups and organizations serving youth in four Illinois counties can apply for grants up to $3,000 for projects that promote collaboration, provide creative solutions to community issues, and demonstrate measurable results.
About this grant
The In Youth We Trust program provides grants to youth-led groups and organizations in Boone, Ogle, Stephenson, and Winnebago Counties. Applicants can request up to $3,000 and must be part of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, public institution such as a school, or an organized group carrying out a charitable purpose. The program seeks projects that promote collaboration and teamwork, provide creative solutions to community issues, help youth recognize their role in their communities, have a clear implementation plan with realistic budget, and demonstrate measurable and meaningful results. Youth must be involved in every aspect of the grant process, including project planning, grant writing, and implementation. Applications are reviewed by the In Youth We Trust Council, a group of local high school students who convene monthly.
