Micron STEM Opportunity Fund

Nonprofits and schools serving grades 6-12 students in Northern Virginia can apply for grants to support STEM programs focused on engineering, computing, and AI. Awards of $15,000 or $30,000 are available.

About this grant

This fund supports STEM programs in Northern Virginia that focus on engineering, robotics, computer science, applied math, physics, chemistry, AI, data science, or semiconductor-aligned content. Programs must incorporate AI-related activities, tools, or lessons and include a well-defined Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) approach. Priority is given to programs serving students in Title I schools. Programs focused primarily on Life Sciences, Earth Sciences, Healthcare, Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, Nursing, or Medical Education will not receive priority. Eligible applicants are nonprofits and educational institutions (public K-12 schools and higher education institutions) located in Northern Virginia, as well as 501(c)(3) organizations providing charitable or educational services in the region.
