FRC teams in Brevard, Volusia, Orange, or Seminole County can apply for grants to purchase equipment and resources needed to field a competitive team, including robotics kits, parts, software, computers, fabrication equipment, and travel expenses within Florida.
About this grant
The FRC Competitive Edge Grant helps teams acquire equipment and resources to improve competitiveness. Teams propose specific items with costs and must justify why each item is necessary and how it enables competitiveness. Eligible purchases include robotics kits, replacement parts, software, computers, practice field items, fabrication equipment, power tools, and travel expenses for Florida events. Teams can propose cost-sharing arrangements where both the team and EGS contribute funds, provided the team has already fundraised their share. Award amounts are determined based on proposals and justifications. Winners must provide detailed receipts and expense documentation by May 31, 2024. The program is open to all FRC teams in the specified Florida counties.
