About this grant
PPL Foundation awards grants to nonprofits improving communities through initiatives in education, community vitality, access to opportunities, and resilience & sustainability. Eligible focus areas include STEM programs, literacy, career pathways, housing stability, food security, economic development, environmental stewardship, and disaster relief. Municipalities, churches, schools, chambers of commerce, political groups, labor groups, religious groups, and individuals are not eligible. Organizations must be located in or prove their activities benefit the 29-county PPL Electric Utilities region in Pennsylvania. Each organization may receive only one grant per calendar year, and PPL will not be the sole contributor to capital campaigns. Applications are submitted online through the foundation's portal and reviewed by regional committees of PPL employees.
