Teams from Wisconsin schools (grades 6-12) with a mentor can apply for up to $6,000 to cover fees, kits, supplies, and travel costs for participating in robotics competitions sponsored by 501(c)(3) nonprofits. Matching funds equal to the grant amount are required.

This grant supports Wisconsin school teams' participation in robotics league competitions that require students to design, construct, program, and operate robots. Eligible expenses include competition fees, kits, supplies, and travel for team members, as well as a stipend for the mentor. The sponsoring organization must be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Teams must secure matching funds equal to the grant amount requested before submitting the application. The grant period runs from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. Awards are prorated if approved requests exceed available funding. Schools must verify their competition qualifies and complete post-grant reporting.
