Michigan school districts and registered nonpublic schools can apply for grants to support robotics competition teams, covering event registrations, materials, travel, and other competition-related expenses.
About this grant
Funds robotics competition teams at Michigan intermediate school districts, local education agencies, public school academies and MDE-registered nonpublic schools. Funds cover coach stipends of up to $1,500 per building, event registrations, materials and travel, and equal awards for teams that advance. Teams register with an MDE-approved program provider such as FIRST. Applicants need at least one sponsor and a local match of at least 25%. Applications go through NexSys.
