The Champlin Foundation Grant

The Champlin Foundation · Funder

Rhode Island nonprofits can apply for capital grants or campership grants through The Champlin Foundation.

About this grant

The Champlin Foundation funds capital projects for Rhode Island nonprofit organizations across nine focus areas: Arts & Culture, Conservation & Parks, Education, Healthcare, Historic Preservation & Heritage, Libraries, Social Services, Welfare of Animals, and Youth Services. The foundation operates three separate application cycles: two for traditional capital requests and one for camperships. Capital Cycle One is for most organizations; Cycle Two is designated for Houses of Worship and Traditional Public Schools. Applications are submitted online through a web-based portal hosted by Foundant Technologies. The foundation reviews applications throughout the submission period and makes final funding decisions at committee meetings. Grantees must submit timely reports on fund expenditure 12 months after award distribution and continuing annually until the grant is spent.
