About this grant
The TVA Robotics Award Program provides funding to schools and nonprofits to develop and support dedicated robotics teams. Awards range from $1,000 to $5,000, with amounts determined by a pre-qualification questionnaire based on program size, longevity, current funding, and materials needs. Funds may be used for robotics kits, curriculum, competition fees, and team travel (up to 300 miles one way, or any distance for Nationals). Up to 25% of funds (max $750) may cover uniforms, and up to $1,500 for staff stipends. Funds cannot support food (except during travel), furniture, entertainment unrelated to robotics, professional development, facility construction, or general office supplies. Applications are submitted online by an adult team lead and evaluated competitively. Award recipients must spend all funds by the specified deadline and submit a final report.
